Annapurna is the Name of tenth highest mountain in the world. It is located north side from Pokhara and north- central in Nepal. There are massif mountain ranges of Annapurna Himalayas. Annapurna Base Camp is 4130 meters height from sea level and 40 km directly north side from Pokhara city. It is located in the Himalayas in north- central of Nepal. This Annapurna Region is surrounding by Annapurna Conservation Area Project.

Way to Annapurna Base Camp

Many people are wondering to get Annapurna Base Camp from Pokhara and Kathmandu. Who want to go there for trekking, most have to get Pokhara city from capital city of Nepal. Pokhara is famous touristic place in Nepal. There are many places to visiting area such as Fewa Lake, Begnas Lake, peace Pakoda, Devils fall, Mahendra Cave, and many more. There is enough transport service from Kathmandu to get Pokhara. Pokhara is west part and 200 km far from Kathmandu. There are dally Bus and Plane transport service. Pokhara is also gate way to the Annapurna Base Camp and it takes approximately 6-7 days to reach there. Even though trekking itineraries are always flexible because there are many starting and ending point such as Dhampus Phedi, Nayapul and Kade. it may takes a little more or less than that depends on starting and ending place.  Normally, you will take a private or public vehicle along the Pokhara-Baglung road for one and half hours at Nayapul. From Pokhara and trails heading to Ghandruk, which is biggest Gurung Village and best place for observe the Annapurna mountain views. People most have spend the first night of the trek.

After that, next few days trekking trails heading to Annapurna Base Camp through Chomrong, bamboo, Dovan, Himalayan Hotel, Deurali and Machapuchre Base Camp. Annapurna base camp is wonderful place to see great panoramic mountains views. It is easy way to get Annapurna base camp.
